Enrollment Options for the SMC Choirs

Departmental Policy

Each participant in an SMC ensemble must enroll for credit before the end of the second week of the course. Upon completing the maximum number of enrollments, the instructor may invite continued participation through SMC Continuing Education as a “community member” (excluding Musical Theatre). In rare and extraordinary circumstances, a director may make exceptions to this policy.

Within the framework of this policy, below are the processes for enrolling in any of our classes.

Enrolling as a Student

To participate in an ensemble as a student, you will first need to apply and be accepted to Santa Monica College. This may take anywhere from 2 to 7 days to process.
Once accepted to the college, enroll in the class through Corsair Connect, using the information above.
If you are trying to register after the first day of class, you may need an authorization/add code from the instructor. Email the instructor to request it.

Joining as a "Community Member"

To enroll as a Community Member, request permission from the respective director first, who will then put you in touch with the one of the Membership Committee Co-Chairs to assist you.
