Still Blowin'

42 Years of Glass at SMC

August 1 - September 6, 2024

Opening Reception: Saturday, August 3, 4 - 7 p.m.

Curated by award-winning glass artist and SMC art instructor Terri Bromberg, “Still Blowin’ – 42 Years of Glass at SMC” features beautiful, imaginative, and extensive displays of glassworks, along with photos of glass processes. The exhibit includes comments that share the personal and unique glass experiences of the SMC students and staff who created the glassworks. Many of the exhibitors now have careers as glass artists.

The SMC glass program teaches students how to create blown, cast, fused, slumped, and torch-worked glass. Santa Monica College is the only public institution in Los Angeles County to offer glass instruction and experience to eager students. Lives have been changed through the thrill and wonder of working with glass.
